EVENTY4 YOUTH SERVANT AUCTION & GRILLIN’ DINNER on Wednesday, April 11th from 5:30-8 p.m.  Come for dinner and or to find a worker! Secret Sister Reveal at Front Porch Cafe (upstairs loft) on Saturday, April 21st @ 9am.  Bring a $20 gift for your secret sister. For more info contact Hanna Kurtz. *Note, this is a gathering for women who are currently participating in Evermore's Secret Sister program. 

BAPTISM on Sunday, April 22nd.  If anyone is interested in being baptized contact one of the pastors or the church office.

Singles Ministry Event: Friday, April 27th from 6:00-8:30 p.m. - Bowling at Eastgate located at 2544 Wedgewood Dr., Akron. If you would like to carpool, meet at R&R Plumbing on Cleveland Ave. at 5:40 p.m.  Please sign up at the Information Center if you plan to attend.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING on Sunday, May 6th at 6:00 p.m.  We will be giving an update on the short term and long-term goals.  We will be giving an update on the short term and long-term goals.  We will be presenting a proposed plan for expanding the Sunday School wing and fellowship hall.  We will be voting on this proposed plan. 

PARENT/CHILD DEDICATION:  We will be having a parent/child dedication on Mother’s Day.  IF you would like your child dedicated contact the church office at 330-877-2050 or

Refresh – An informal time for women to come and be refreshed in the word, prayer, and community at the Front Porch Cafe on Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m. on  April 14, April 28 and May 26. 

SCRAPBOOKING:  We are having a 14-hour crop at Evermore Community Church on April 21st. It will be from 8:30am-10:30pm. The event will be free, but we will be asking everyone who comes to sign up to bring something. A sign-up genius will be sent out closer to the date. We will also have pizza for dinner which will be $1.00 per slice. If you are interested in coming please email Tara Bowers at so you can be added to the list.  Hope to see you there!

Vacation Bible School - June 25-29 from 9:30am - 11:30am. Contact Patty Miller to volunteer! 

SENIOR BIBLE STUDY - meets in the fellowship hall every Wednesday morning at 9:45 am except for the first Wednesday or the month. All are welcome. 

HISTORICAL COMMITTEE:  In 2019 we will be celebrating our 75th anniversary as a church.  We are looking for people to serve on a historical committee to prepare for this event.  Contact the church office if you are interested on being on this committee.  

OFFERING ENVELOPE NUMBER:  If you wish to have your offerings recorded for IRS purposes, call the Church Office (330-877-2050) or email to to be assigned an offering envelope number and receive an itemized list of your offerings at the end of each year.

CHURCH TABLES: There are only wooden tables available for personal use.  They can be found in the barn next to the church.  We no longer have wooden chairs available for personal use.  Tables and chairs are also available to rent from Hartville Hardware and the Mennonite Relief Sale (Roy Steiner 330-464-1134).   Please do not remove the white tables and white chairs from the Fellowship Hall. 

VALET PARKING is available to all persons 70 or older.  Please do not park in the numbers 1-10 in the back of the parking lot.  Those are for valet parking.  


Missions and Outreach

LOVE IS A VERB was in need of a used van for ministry and towing purposes.  We are seeking to raise $15,000.00 for a long-term solution to this ministry’s needs.  We will accept donations any time and mark your offering envelopes accordingly. 

VOLUNTEERS are needed to organize and sort through the Love Our Community Closet in the Mission house next door. Contact Kellie Viscounte at 330-412-9876 if you can help out with this mission.

FISH BROWN PAPER BAG FUNDRAISER:  If you did not receive a paper bag on Sunday and would like to contribute to FISH, here is a list of items that you can purchase for FISH:  Pasta Sauce, Peanut Butter, Crackers, Noodles/Rice Side Dishes, Kleenex, Shampoo and Cleaning products. Place them in the wicker baskets in the hallway by the infant nursery.  Please return the paper bags or items by Sunday, March 11th. 

HAVEN OF REST BANQUET on March 20th and 22nd at the Hartville Kitchen.  IF you are interested attending this free event contact either Mary Jordan at 330-499-4795 or Dan & Norma Erb at 330-875-2995.  Deadline is March 10th.

FIREWOOD IS NEEDED for the homeless in Akron.  They use a load and a half each week during the winter months.  If you have firewood that you would like to donate or a tree that needs cut up contact Dana Carey at 330-329-5152.

Hands for Mission - Looking for Ladies to sew school kit bags. Contact Phyllis Nisly. Looking for volunteers to make comforter tops. Contact Marilyn Mattingly.  

LOVE IS A VERB NEEDS YOU!  There’s a chill in the air.  We are in continual need of blankets and coats with hoods.  Older heavyweight blankets are best and preferred.  Please don’t buy new!  Thank you so much for your continued support of the ministry caring for our homeless friends.  We appreciate you. – Lisa Rowland
